The EXTRA 330SC is a single-seat, low-wing aerobatic monoplane with conventional taildragger landing gear, offering incredible aerobatic performance. The engine is a "pumped" Lycoming AEIO-580 producing between 340-350 hp. It is a carbon fiber wing assembly with an integral tank, carbon composite empennage structure, which also has a steel fuselage assembly. The engine has two fuel pumps (1 engine-driven, 1 electric). It is a single-seat bubble canopy with carbon pushrods and a titanium firewall.
